Vision, Mission, and Values

The GBABS is deeply committed to the cross-border education sector between Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao. It closely aligns with the educational vision and long-term development plans of Guangzhou Huashang College and Guangzhou Huashang Vocational College. Leveraging the two colleges’ substantial educational experience and mature talent cultivation systems, the School offers a variety of non-local programmes, providing Hong Kong students with a convenient and reliable pathway for cross-border further education. Following the national “15th Five-Year Plan” education development strategy, benchmarking against Hong Kong’s Youth Blueprint core development goals, and keeping pace with the direction of higher education in the new era, the School is rooted in the integrated development of education within the Greater Bay Area. It focuses on the dual enhancement of young people’s academic progression and vocational skills, with the core vision of cultivating high-quality, new-era talents that meet the industrial development and market demands of the Bay Area.

The School has partnered with various Hong Kong post-secondary institutions, the Hong Kong Skills Upgrading Bureau (formerly the Employees Retraining Board), the YMCA of Hong Kong, Cyberport, and others. By integrating top-tier resources from Hong Kong in vocational training, youth development, and digital technology innovation, and combining them with the distinctive educational features and talent positioning of the two Huashang colleges, the School merges the standardised higher education model of the mainland with Hong Kong’s internationally oriented and market-driven training advantages. It creates a complete growth pathway covering academic advancement, vocational training, and technology innovation practice. This approach not only solidifies students’ academic foundations but also systematically enhances their hands-on skills and employability in the GBA, helping young people establish themselves and grow steadily in the region. The School is dedicated to building a high-quality cross-border education platform between Guangdong and Hong Kong, continuously supplying versatile, high-calibre talents to support the integrated development of the Greater Bay Area.
